Final Wishes - Planning Your Funeral
(and yes, you can do this when you are still young!)
You may be looking at my website as you are thinking ahead and looking at pre-planning your own funeral. There are lots of reasons why you would pre-plan your own service. You are thinking of your loved ones, helping them any way you can, and easing their burdon at one of their hardest times in their life, you also get to make the decisions on what type of service you would like, from flowers, to music, to the order of service and poems; you will also get to meet me - I was once chosen by someone who was pre-planning their own funeral becuase they wanted someone with red hair and it was on their 'bucket list', what ever your reason, please do give me a call, so that I can come and discuss with you, the service that you woud like; hymns you would like to be sung; poems you would like to be read out. You can have it YOUR way, and I am here to help you.

In this instance I can email the document to you. I shall also keep a copy, just in case you misplace yours.
And yes, you can still write out your final wishes whilst you are young. I have written mine so that my family know what my final wishes are when my time comes, and at the time I was only 47 years young.

Organising a funeral or a memorial of your loved one, is a hard task, but I am here to help and assist you. Depending on the circumstances, you can take your time in planning and organising the service, so that you give your loved one a send off that is right for them, and also for you.
I am a trained funeral celebrant. I am qualified to work with a family to craft and conduct a ceremony befitting, and tailored to, the beliefs, values and desires of your loved one. The funeral will be a life celebration of your much loved family member.

No Celebrant Required
If you and your family are wanting to look after the whole of the funeral or memorial service of your loved one, giving them one final gift from you, and require no celebrant, that is absolutely fine. Aroha Mai Aroha Atu. Love Received Love Returned.
But you may still need guidance along the way regarding order of service and the service itself, that is where you can call me, and for a fee, I will advise you through your loved ones service and handing to you a written service that you can then personalise to your loved one.

Funeral Directors
Since becoming a celebrant in 2015 I have been working with Anthony and his team at Beauchamp Funeral Home. They have chapels in Marton, Feilding and Palmerston North. Their chapels are lovely and of different sizes to pay your respects to your loved one and in Feilding and Palmerston North, they have a separate lounge for serving light refreshments after the service.
I have also been working with Hayden and his team at Robert J Cotton & Sons in Palmerston North. They have a lovely large chapel to pay your respects to your loved one and have a large separate lounge for serving light refreshments after the service.
Since 2022 I have also had the pleasure with working alongside Jackie, Darrell and George at IC Mark in Levin. They have a lovely chapel for you to pay your last respects in, which opens onto their refreshment lounge after the service
